A Boudoir Session with us is an experience as empowering as it is transformative, honoring each woman as her own sanctuary. Let us show you the beauty and light that the world sees in you, because you deserve to feel it too.
1. Complimentary Consultation Call
Every Sanctuary experience begins with a complimentary consultation. We'll talk about what brought you to boudoir, what you're envisioning for your photo session, and any questions or concerns you have about the experience. We'll also walk you through session availability, pricing, collections and products so you know exactly what to expect before deciding whether you'd like to reserve your date. This call is not just for logistics… it’s about creating a connection and ensuring that you feel excited and empowered every step of the way.
2. Booking & Preparing For Your Session
Once your date is reserved, we'll make sure you have everything you need to feel prepared long before you arrive at The Sanctuary. You'll receive our comprehensive digital Prep & Lingerie Guides covering beauty preparation, grooming, lingerie fit, wardrobe inspiration and what photographs beautifully. You'll also receive personalized wardrobe guidance, access to our curated accessory closet and recommendations for trusted Dallas boutiques and online retailers. If you'd like additional help building your looks, personal shopping is also available.
3. Professional Hair, Makeup & Styling
The morning of your boudoir session begins in hair and makeup with one of DFW’s top artists. Our stylists are handpicked for their expertise in catering to every individual’s unique needs; from working with different skin tones, skin concerns, hair textures, or hair lengths. The two of you will work together to create the perfect look, even if getting glam is not part of your typical routine. While they work, it is time to unwind. Be pampered and feel relaxed as you ease into your session. Once you are camera-ready, your photographer will help with styling before the session begins. We will review your wardrobe and select outfits from the pieces you’ve brought and accessories that you are welcome to use from our collection.
4. Photoshoot
When the creative process begins it is time to leave all of your worries and insecurities at the door. Your photographer will make sure that you are comfortable 100% of the time - especially while posing. We understand how intimidating it can be in front of the camera, but at Sanctuary Boudoir we create a safe space for you to see yourself as art. Your photographer will guide you from head to toe through every pose, movement and expression. You'll be directed through posture, hands, facial expressions, breathing and the smallest adjustments that make sure your photos are done to our editorial-style standard. Beyond being classically trained in fine art posing, we have spent years providing transformational boudoir sessions for hundreds of women. This means we have photographed hundreds of unique body types, walks of life, and personalities. You will never have to know what to do, or question whether or not you look amazing… TRUST US… you will!
5. Responsible Retouching & Professional Editing
At the end of your session we will schedule time for a Private Image Reveal and Ordering Appointment - this typically happens two-three weeks from the shoot date. During that time, every selected image is professionally edited and thoughtfully retouched to create a polished, editorial finish while still looking authentically like you. Our approach to Responsible Retouching is intentional: refine the photograph without erasing the beautiful person in it. Your photographer will then finish editing the images to ensure that every element of each photograph looks seamless from skin tones to creative lighting.
6. Private Image Reveal & Ordering Appointment
Approximately 2–3 weeks after your session, you'll return to The Sanctuary for your Private Image Reveal & Ordering Appointment, where you'll see your finished photographs for the first time. These are encouraged to be done in-person, but out-of-state and international clients are welcomed to complete them virtually. The reveal is an emotional, powerful, and exhilarating part of the process. Together, we'll walk through your gallery and help you select the images and artwork you love. You'll choose from our digital and product collections, including heirloom albums, Polaroid collections, wall art and freestanding art pieces. From there your purchases will be designed in-house and produced at a luxury print company.
