What if I feel awkward or nervous in front of the camera and don’t know how to be “sexy”?

You’re not alone! This is one of the most common concerns we hear from women before a boudoir photoshoot. At Sanctuary Boudoir, you enter a fully private, judgement-free, and safe space to leave all of those worries and insecurities at the door. You are guided through every movement of your photoshoot from head to toe — including posing, posture, hand placement, facial expression, breathing techniques, and subtle micro-adjustments that elevate your images from beautiful to editorial. Beyond being classically trained in fine art posing, we have spent years providing transformational boudoir sessions for hundreds of women across Dallas–Fort Worth and beyond. This means we have photographed hundreds of unique body types, walks of life, personalities, and comfort levels. Our job is to direct you in a way that feels natural, refined, and powerful, but never forced.

You don’t have to be a professional model to look like one. You simply have to show up and we take care of the rest.

How far in advance should I book my session if I need my photos or products by a certain date?

If you’re booking a boudoir session in Dallas for a wedding, birthday, anniversary, or milestone event, we recommend scheduling at least 6–8 weeks in advance of your desired delivery date. This timeline allows for your luxury boudoir session, professional retouching, your Private Image Reveal & Ordering Appointment, and the custom design and production of luxury boudoir albums or fine art products. For bridal boudoir in DFW, we suggest booking 8–10 weeks before your wedding to ensure your album arrives beautifully finished and stress-free. How long will it take for me to receive my photos and/or products?

After your photo session, we schedule your Private Image Reveal & Ordering Appointment approximately 2–3 weeks later. During that time, our team completes professional, magazine-quality retouching designed to enhance your natural beauty while preserving authenticity.

At your reveal appointment, you’ll view your fully edited gallery for the first time and select your digital images and custom artwork. Once your selections are finalized, your products are designed in-house and sent to our luxury professional print lab. All albums and printed artwork are handcrafted in the United States using archival materials to ensure exceptional quality and longevity.

Most final products arrive within 2–3 weeks after your reveal, depending on your order and the season. If you’re booking bridal boudoir in DFW or working with a specific deadline, we recommend scheduling your session early to allow for production time.

What if I want to keep my photos private? Do you share all of your clients galleries?

We will NEVER post your boudoir photos without your permission. All of the women that you see in our gallery are clients who signed a model release for us to share their images. At your ordering appointment you can let us know whether your images are to be kept completely private, partially private with anonymous photos only, or a full release to help inspire other women to book their experience. You are always in control!

What do I wear for my Dallas Boudoir Session?

Boudoir wardrobe can be anything from a lingerie set to a body simply draped in fabric. The most important element of the look is you! What if I am on the fence about shooting completely nude?

We understand that deciding to shoot fully nude can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel unsure! Ultimately, it’s all about what feels best to you! Capturing you in your most natural state can be an incredibly liberating experience. Our approach to nude photography is centered on elegance and empowerment. The only guideline we have is that our images cannot depict any sexual acts — we do not provide erotica photography services. This ensures that our focus remains on tasteful, celebratory, and artistic portraits that capture your strength, beauty, and confidence.

Can I bring a friend or my significant other to my session?

Because Sanctuary Boudoir is a fully private luxury boudoir studio in Dallas, sessions are designed as an intimate, one-on-one experience between you and your photographer. We typically do not allow guests during the shoot itself. This allows us to focus entirely on you and maintain a calm, distraction-free environment where confidence can unfold naturally. Even with the best intentions, additional energy in the room can interrupt the vulnerable and transformational process that makes boudoir photography so powerful.

That said, we understand that some clients feel more comfortable arriving with support. If this is essential for you, a guest may be present during hair and makeup. Once we transition into wardrobe styling and photography, guests will step out to preserve the privacy and focus of your session. Our Cedars District location is surrounded by coffee shops, restaurants, and Downtown Dallas attractions — we’re always happy to share nearby recommendations so your guest can enjoy their time while you enjoy yours.

Do I have to use your hair and makeup artist?

Professional hair and makeup are included with every luxury boudoir session at our Dallas studio — and it’s an intentional part of the experience. This time allows you to relax, be pampered, and ease into your session feeling confident and cared for. It also ensures that your final images maintain the cohesive, polished, editorial look that defines Sanctuary Boudoir’s portfolio.

Our professional artists are carefully selected for their expertise across a wide range of skin tones, skin concerns, hair textures, and hair lengths. They understand how to create makeup and hair styling that photographs beautifully under professional lighting while still looking like you. We do make thoughtful exceptions for clients with protective or specialty hairstyles, as your comfort and authentic representation always come first. Our session fee begins at $500, and images are purchased separately after the session. We do not publish full collection pricing online because every client builds her experience differently.
